Default Oil coolers?

I've been on track recently in a couple of Nissan Skyline GTR's and it has come to my attention that oil cooling on track is an issue Is that just confined to them or would you need one on a 2 wheel drive stage 3 on a t34?

I'm looking to track my car but it needs to look standard so I don't run an oil temp gauge or oil cooler. I haven't tracked it yet due to that, do I need one or do they keep cool?

I did a track day on a hot summer day in my old old Stg3 saff, it got hotter than on the road, and nipped up just under the red but only after several hot laps (going on temp guage)
Got an oil cooler on current track slag toy though just to be safer.

saphs need them tbh on track as they run quite hot, on the road a big winged sumps is good enough

Skylines have oil problems anyway on track, unless upgraded. I'm sure Lee/Stav will fill you in on this? So can't really compare a 'liner to a Saph.

As for an oil cooler on a saph, I always thought they wasn't needed? I might be wrong for track though.

radders they are needed on track, infact on the road saphs high oil temps on top speeds usually makes them die too ( 150ish speeds though)

Thanks for the links Radders, I never seem to have any luck with the search function

Looking at that it looks like the best bet is to fit a gauge and see if one is needed, I thought it was simpler than that lol
