Turbonetics GTK350
Hi there,
I need some help/advice from people who know their turbo`s please, ive been looking at the Turbonetics gtk350 turbo but im a little confused on the size. i was wondering if somebody in the know could tell me what size this turbo is compared to one of the `t` series turbos ie t3, t34, t4 etc or even the `gt` series turbos ie gt28 and gt30 etc.
thanks in advance
dave

So the GTK1000s are the equivalent of a GT100 turbo then?
A GTK350 is a small turbo, a small T3/4, probably closest resembling a .48 T35 like people use on cossies, but much flashier.
In fact its VERY similar to a .48 T35, with a compressor that good for about 400bhp at a mega push (T4 46 trim), but pretty sure the small ex' side couldnt do it. Hence the 350 rating.

well ( i think ) it uses a .63 a/r exhaust housing, an to4e-50 trim compressor wheel, stage 2 f1 ( 10 blade ) turbine wheel and a to4e compressor housing..........this to me sounds quite like a t34 hybrid but as ive said im not sure to be fair.
grateful for any help

Yeah I just checked, it is a T04E 50 trim compressor, which is odd they rate it so low on power. As Stav says, it must be due to the small turbine (although they typically run larger-than-required turbine wheels on these) which is limiting it.. which means it's quite out of balance.. not my cuppa tea. T34 would most likely munch this up for breakfast on the versatility scale.
