Back from Snetterton!
tbh wasnt really too impressed with the turnout good to see Porkies Porsche against his old 3 door. got some pics and videos of the battle.
Couple of cossie had some turbo failures and a few spun. i think the High temps caused problems on the day.
impressed with the Red cossied power Dax/Caterham?? and Performance fords xr2 wasnt slow either.
I think the car that impressed me the most was Jamsports 2.5 New shape fiesta!

Good night, had a run out with Loader in his saph.
It was one of the Blue Fiesta ST's that spat oil down the start finish not sure what happened though.
I timed Loader at 1.27 min and that was a steady lap and having to back off for a car coming out of the pits. My mate Mini was doing 1.45's in his XR2 with a Ł50 1800 Zetec on carbs. Both lads first time driving Snetty.
Polly did you get back alright, saw you had unhooked trailer just before Thetford.

Lucky I saw it go really!
Anyway. Found it after a couple of laps up and down.
Had a good evening. Ambient temps were a little too high for mine to be honest and my charge temps were creeping a little higher than I would like so had to back off on both straights. Its usually fine but for some odd reason my water injection was refusing to work.
Cheers.

20K+ Super Poster.
me and rich just got back (well, rich is driving back to his now)
tubo failure on his cossie, not really surprising with a T34 running that sort of power, but just a shame it happened so early for him as he had only done a few sighting laps
still, good day out and good to see everyone

aye,
just got in. Was excited and nervous about my 1st track day. Car felt fast until the turbo popped lol. Not overly bothered as what else is going to happen to a t34 eventually at 2.5 bar. wish it had happened on lap 10 or so though. Nice to meet Nick and Nash

You wont need one with a ported shroud, the smaller 3071 just dont really surge anyway, and they are also no laggier than a t34, im sure mark can make it work really well, but yes you would need need management for him to do so, or karl or stu could map your existing ecu of course

Testing the future
as a spectator, it was a bit of a disappointment
was good to meet Cossie Rich for his forst track day, pity for him that his turbo failed but at least it's easily repairable.
the reyland 3 door was going very well, and the new owner can drive very impressive save coming into russells chicane too hot right at the end and the car was easily faster than porkie's porsche
the car may have been good, but the exit from the russells chicane was taken in too low a gear resulting in instant wheel spin and rev limit
the older fiestas were going very well especially the hangar 15 tuning one

LOL i'm still smiling!!
Left Stockport at 2pm, looking like i would get to Snetterton for just before 6, even picking Porkies slicks up on the way - but somebody has foolishly put the RHS flower show on so traffic was a knightmare straight away and i knew it was getting bad when i tried to get back on the m6 at 4pm with 140 miles to go
Got there eventually, for about the last hour but it was worth it
Chip.. in a suit. Almost respectable there chip
Got some time out as a passenger in Porkies Porsche - hahahaaha still laughing to myself, i want one bad.. Even got a little go of it round the road into the circuit. 2 words for it, effortless and surefooted Thank you very much for letting me have a go, Lee. You drive similar to 2 people i know - think it's dead funny when you get over excited lol
Wouldn't have the opportunity to drive something like that very often at all

MASSIVE thanks to Linsay for taking the Sierra slicks all the way down there!
and thanks to Jim Nerdbally for attempting to sort my TOMTOM data connection... you failed by the way mate. But appreciate the efforts!
WICKED night. was awesome racing Patrick around... I saw him on the way home as well and gave him a 153mph flyby
