Default Road Legal Quads

Who on here has one??
Me and a mate are looking at getting one each so just wondered what people experiences of them are on the road....

Rough ideas on running costs, insurance etc?

And what ones you can recommend. Looked at loads of websites today and there are soo many to choose from. So what ones would people recommend?

like any vehicle their only really dangerous if not drivin responsibly, as long as you remember they don't corner well at all, it WILL flip over if you corner to sharply at speed, which on a muddy field is bad enough but in traffic!

running cost's arnt that bad, insurance is generally high due to it being a toy, so expect to be paying over £400 if you have no privious experiance. other then that its basically the same as a bike.

i will say tho that if you plan on getting a cheaper chinese import, be prepared to get the spanners out alot to fix it lol, but then if you own a cossie you'll be right at home lol

Agreed, collegue/friend of mine was killed on one of these 3 years ago at christmas time, i know people have accidents in other types of veicles all the time, but the folk on quads always seem to be giving it some!

when i said chinies imports i did mean their registered/ready ready to ride, its just their cheap chinese brands which tend to fall apart lol

quadzilla/raptor are the top brands to go for, but come at a price.

i quite like the look of these myself

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-260c...3286.m14.l1308

look really nice for an on road quad and even has reverse.

you could always got for a road legal buggy, their just as nuts if not worse lol
