Whoever took the escos, will deffo have parked it up for a couple of days the max about 3days.. to make sure it's not got a tracker? then once no police find the car they will strip it...
i just hope you actually get the car back, and those wankers get caught..lets hope someone gives them a good fucking kicking which they need

the way a tracker works is its activated via satellite, but the police dont have the resources to track it this way, they have scanners in their cars and helicopters though so if they drive past it or within a 5 mile radius (or 30 miles for chopper) then it starts beepin in their car/helicopter, then they can triangulate it and close in via other units.

it costs Ł7 a month for the sim card rental and we've got up to the minute tracking virtually going back to when they were first installed in 2003 we can recall where they are, ignition on or off, the speed, excessive acceleration/deceleration, how many satalites were tracking it at the time, etc, etc
seems that the tracker fitted to this car is a policeman version where only the police vehicles fitted with the areiels can find it, but it should still send out a traceable signal that can be found
if anything, this will get peole calling their tracking companies to ask how their systems work, the whole point of having a tracker is that you will be able to find the car if it's gone missing

i know of trackers on financed cars that are waiting to go abroad at docks get recovered,it seems hit and miss why they don't always get picked up when stolen.
if that cozzy was nicked to be broke it would already have been.
if its gonna be rung they probably will leave it somewhere to see if it gets picked up.

Gutted for you m8,
but confused about the tracker tho. remember when clarkson had that ford gt and his tracker kept going off, they would ring or text clarkson on his mobile and tell him his cars been stolen !!! he told everyone on a top gear show, showed them the text's. suppose he had a different system or somethin ?

Sorry to here your bad news mate, perhaps you should make a list of all the ebayable bits and put some alerts on ebay. This way when someone lists up one of the items check if they are local or if you reconise them from your car. Then check see if they are selling any other bits which may be yours.
Then arrange to meet them with the boys and beat the fuck out of them.............. or call the police

Stage 2:
- TRACKER HQ activates the unit hidden in the stolen vehicle. The vehicle is now emitting a silent land based radio signal.
- The silent signal can now be picked up by any of the UK's 52 police forces that are within the vicinity of the stolen vehicle. The signal will direct the police to the exact location of the stolen vehicle.
Stage 2:
- TRACKER HQ contacts the vehicle owner to confirm whether the vehicle has been stolen. When confirmed as stolen to TRACKER HQ and the police, the TRACKER unit hidden in the stolen vehicle is activated. The vehicle is now emitting a silent land based radio signal and its position is being logged via GPS satellites.
- Stage 3:
- The silent signal can now be picked up by any of the UK's 52 police forces that are within the vicinity of the stolen vehicle. The signal and the GPS satellite positional information will work in conjunction to direct the police to the exact location of the stolen vehicle.

as above the police have found my cosworth and it is pretty much undamaged the only damage i can see is the carbon splitter is broken the n/s/f wheel has got scratched and there is lots of brake dust on the wheels
just been to pick it up seams to drive ok just pleased to get it back in one peace. im thinking of upgrading the tracker as i didnt realise there was different levels of cover as it was fitted when i bought the car and i never checked i will also have to change the locks and fit a new alarm as they still have the spare set of keys thanksfor all the kind replies regarding the car

It Wasnt Me!
What did the odometer say miles wise?
Give you an indication of how far they've went!?
As above, more details of how it was found/where etc
I'd be over the moon if I got it back! but at the same time very annoyed that my car got drove god knows what like
Just get the locks changed and makesure EVERY key is with you at all times !!
