Cut a long story short we have a large terrapin which has grew to big for it's living condition's, to be fair to the terrapin we have decided to get rid of him/her for it's own health.

We have rang the Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port so we could donate him but they have said no due to alot of people getting rid of them.

I would offer the terrapin to someone on here but his size at a guess would be to big for most people (10 inches long)

Does anyone know where we could take him?

there will be a specialist rescue centre mate, try speaking to the rspca, hopefully they can put youon to someone. Where my missus used to live there was a terrapin in the river, was there foryears and was massive! Not suggesting you chuck it in the river thou!

Daft question, but is there not somewhere you can just release it?

Or do they not fair well in the wild after being pets?

as far as i know they should be in a controlled heat.

Release it into a lake mate, theres loads in pitville lake by me so i guess they can quite easily live there
