I think some of you may need to drive one, as Tim says above they are superb handling little cars, I collected my wifes from the dealer and was blown away with the drive home, I owned a sierra and Escort Cos at the time and was still really impressed.

We still sell LOADS of Pumas.
I don't remember a bloke ever buying one in the last couple of years of my goldfish-like memory.
I do however, remember a few blokes pushing their birds into them [so they could enjoy it as well] because they are surprisingly good fun to drive for relatively low powered cars
Except with more seats, without the engine in the back; without a roof that comes off and without a HG that lets go every 30k miles. So in fact, not much like an MGF at all you goon.

Then yes!
I've always thought of MGFs to be old people's weekend cars or just exceptionally homosexual [as well as buckets of shit].
So when AlexF told me he'd bought one a few years ago, I was unsurprised.
As he's an old person..

is everyone really that insecure that they have to worry what anyone else will think... if you like it have it, let the other sad fcuks think what they like
Cracking little cars, especially FRP (just make sure someone else has already shelled out for front brakes before you get it lol)

It's all down to different people's perceptions and the general opinions of people that are outside of the Ford scene, that's what Andy [RSNissan] was trying to say in his usual uneloquent manner.
Of course you wouldn't find Cosworths chavvy, you own one.
Just like people with bad breath never realise they have bad breath.

ok,so it has the image of being a girly car,
but underneath that image is a proper little sorted car, very under rated and as said above ridiculed by those that have probly never driven one or dont have a clue about a proper driving experience.
blinkers off and have some fun i say, never judge a book by what you heard down the gym in the weights room.

I have to admit, no-one has ever called me girly when I've been driving a Puma.
A bloke did ask me if I was gay once, when I was in an MX5.
But I was kerb crawling for arse and he was cute and cheap, so I let him in.
