Pete,

can understand what you say but to spend top money on a decent set....some people have just not got that to put into a car and it depends what you want the car for.

Coilovers are hard to setup for a road car as you need vairable rate springs to get the ride right. Another thing is the gaz and avo are only platform height adjustable this vaires the spring rate if the spring needs to be compressed more to get the ride height your after. Look at the jap stuff there height and rate adjustable, but who does them for Fords?

there are bilstein 909's on the back of my sapph and it doesnt half dig in nice round bends. Iffy in the wet though as they are stiff as fuck and a bump can set you into a slide mid bend at low speeds.

Spring rates going by my AVO's for the road are 320lb front 220lb rear. For the track you can double that. I have 500 front and 400 rear.

................what for..???.............cos i'd say on a saff the front would be to much.......the rear should be less.......probs 300/200..........cos i've got 320/170......................and the front is too much and the back is to soft...........so i turn up the rear and it fucks up the front..............

Avo std rate for coilovers sapph are 300lb" front 9" long, 200lb" rear 12" long.
I have AVO, very good, very comfy, feel the rear a tad too soft.
The fronts are REBOUND adjustable, the rears, as with pretty much all rears are BUMP and REBOUND adjustable.
Recently had my Avo's rebuilt Ł93 pair fronts, Ł67 pair rears, all in prices, so cheap when needing to be done, just "exercise" the adjusters every few months and they won't be a problem, I have my front on softest setting rear on plus two turns from softest, just fitted a scorpio roll bar(rear) which helps a lot.
If you don't like the std supplied springs AVO will change them once FOC for you.
