Default Top Gear complained about - again!

This is getting stupid - the level of knobishness in this country is getting out of control! Do people purely sit in front of the TV for the sole reason of finding something to complain about? Good god these people need to get out more!

That's what I thought, they don't have DD laws there surely ?
I know that's not the point of the complaint, and know the damage DD's do, but I did not see anything to warrant a complaint, mind you if watching top gear anyway they do need to get out more IMO.

HMMMM!!

But Carole Whittingham, the founder of the Campaign Against Drink Driving, said that Top Gear was sending out the “wrong messages” to viewers.
“For some time I have been thinking that the programme has lost its focus,” she said. “It used to be about promoting vehicles and safe driving and I remember appearing on the show to talk about uninsured drivers, but the format has changed radically since then.”
She added: “Nowadays it seems to glamorise inappropriate behaviour such as exceeding the speed limit and drinking at the wheel. I am hugely disappointed at the flippancy with which they promote unsafe driving and can’t understand why the BBC allows this to happen.”

Well, she sounds like a barrell of laughs dosn't she? Imagine people who "gasp!" " who exceed the speed limit"... Worse than rapists those lot, hangings too good for them etc... ..

Tell you what then turn the TV off love, and go and score some cock.. I bet she is a wrinkled old mess, with nothing better to do in her sad life

Heard this on Radio 1 this morning. Had he drank on a road then fair do's a complaint could be understood.

FFS never mind the fact they drove a 4x4 to the North pole and all that was involved in the feat somebody moans about him having a sip of drink in the middle of a fucking frozen ocean.

Surprised some cunt didn't complain about them using the wrong sort of vehicle and that they should have done it in a Prius

Who or what exactly was likely to be harmed or damaged by them even if they had got completely shit-faced and set off at top speed (which, in those conditions, was about 3 miles an hour)?

The "challenge" was a piss take anyway, they had back up from start to finish, no doubt thier insurers would not cover them on thier todd as they would die out there with no one having a clue.
It was a good programme though.

I totally agree. Just imagine the sheer amount of viewers who've driven to the north pole in a modified off roader under the influence of drink since this was aired....
Not to mention the sheer volumes of Jag XJS owning viewers who've tried to smuggle their cars onto large naval vessels?

Its out of control I tell you!

For God's sake - they were in the middle of the Arctic, no roads, no other cars, nothing. What the hell were they going to crash into?

What annoys me is the fact that it only takes a few complaints from sad individuals for it to ruin it for all the people who enjoy it. The BBC seems to take the stance "someone complained, we cant do that again".
