Stu, re looms do you cut the multiplugs out of the Escort looms very often? I did mine just as a matter of course, but interesting to see how many actual problems you've seen?

Good topic,good read!!only last week i was telling a chap to replace the 3mm i/d vacuum hose on his reg back for the std one
And he also had a small filter on the non return valve for the std breather system
and wondered why it would not idle right

Very well put.... I think I noticed something on number 9 though.
In extreme cases the excess oil will find its way down into the sump and dilute the oil.

Yes pal, drop your plug gaps to 0.5mm and see if it goes away. If so, you probably have an ignition system issue to rectify. Fitment of wasted spark will rectify it permanently.
