Same reason as above, typical scotish "we hate everything english" attitude. So the cunt can fuck off.

However, your opionions are welcome and valid, and duly noted!
Personally, he is a Brit doing well, so I'll support him.
Yes, the supporting other teams thing he said made him out to be a cock to all English guys, but maybe he's just mega passionate Scottish.
Either way, Brit & doing well at a sport = support from me.

Look at all you silly english folks getting upset about football again.
The only reason the Scots support whoever is playing England (Germany, Argentina, The Taliban ) is because of Jimmy Hill. I shit you not.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Whenever a Scot does well, you lot always say they are a Brit.
Then, when as per usual, they fuck up, they become a Scot again.
Personally, i don't like him either. Too many excuses when things go wrong etc, but he's Scottish so i'll be backing him.
We hate Jimmy Hill! He's a poof, he's a poof.........

Ace to see the lad doing well - I used to cheer on Tim Henman and all the other British hopefuls at tennis.
I am Scottish through and through and also British. I have just as many mates from south of the border as north of the border and think anyone who supports "anyone but England" because they are Scottish is a total plank.
Football is completely meaningless to me anyway, so maybe that's why I have a more balanced view?

Well done Murray! Never EVER gave up. Battled every point and wore him down!

See some brits are lowering themselves to the scottish level!

He is a boring cunt but it is nice to see him doing well i guess. Agree with him being "british" when he is winning and "Scottish" when he is losing though, muppets.
Best of luck to him anyway.

Brilliant result, absolutely amazing game of tennis. I cheer him on because he's Scottish/British and got a real chance of going all the way if his draw is favourable.......... saying that, I cheered on Henman and never really felt like he was in with a shout. Ever.
Ok, Murray is a bit boring in the interviews, but think he's had to tone it down a bit and concentrate on what he says...... like when he got in a lot of trouble for saying "we were playing like a couple of girls" after a poor match a couple years back.
Nobody can doubt his passion for the game though, I've not seen anybody get as worked up for a long time. I think its great to see and the atmosphere there must have been awesome.
Cheers,
Grant

Andy Murray identifies himself as "Scottish, but also British. Prior to Wimbledon 2006 Murray caused some public debate when he stated that he would like to see "anyone except England" win the 2006 World Cup
He gives the impression that he doesn’t care what others think of him. So why should we care back?
And thats why Im happy to wear the 'Anyone But Murray' T-Shits being sold around Wimbledon each year..
I think to expect respect and support from the nation as a sportsman representing Britain when he is not prepared to do the same is incredibly poor.
Hope he loses

Who cares what he is, he wont win the tournament, who the hell is going to stop either Federer or Nadal unless they suddenly develop injuries. The pair of them seem to be in a league of their own at the moment.

That's a big part of what makes someone a winner - refusing to lie down because the other guy is bigger, stronger, faster, more experienced...

I totally agree with this, and feel the same way. Just replace Scottish with Welsh pmsl. As said i always support anything British. The people who are the other way tend to be a bit of a plank as said above. Or are so totally inward looking they might aswell live in the dark ages. muppets.
Any good luck to him, though he seems a right missrable twat lol.

He proved, by recovering from two sets down and fighting for every point, that he has something about him that he will fight right to the end.
