All this big talk about other peoples cars, has made me wanna find out where all you began+and where you are now....

I would like to propose a 0-62mph-the slowest/fastest times possible competition.
The slowest times wins!!!!
Whats the slowest and fastest car you've owned and ran for longer than 6months without breaking down. ;-P

Slowest...
Mine-Fiat Panda 750cc, 40bhp (or similar sized lawnmower engine), I could only do 50mph on motorways because the engine was so loud at 70!
O-62--- a life time. I did get it to 83 on a large hill!!!!

Currently been built...otherwise it would be either a 1.4 orion (yep i know) 1.1 metro, (lol) enough said i think. lol.

Errr my slowest car was my G plate Fiesta 1.0 Popular I used as a runabout for a few months while working on my other car. Saying that I did race a Clio 172 in it and he couldnt get rid of me, he was flying away on the straights but was being a pussy on the bends where I was taking no prisoners and was all over his back end again for the next straight. To add insult to injury we stopped side by side at lights and when we both went for it as they turned green he just wheelspun badly where I didnt have the power to and it just gripped and I beat him as the 2 lanes merged into one.

My quickest car to date was my last sapph but should be my latest one when Im finished building it and tidying it up.

Had one of these all 200cc of it you wont get slower than that believe me . It didnt have a 0-60 it was flatters at 50.

Previous slowest was my first car... a mk2 Golf 1.3

I have also got a 1.0l polo for a smoker whilst my turbos being set up, it does 0-60 in about 6 days!!!! fiesta just a little quicker!!

I passed an S3 on the dual carriage way yesterday in the wet in the M3. (he wasn't trying to race me) - I then arrived at traffic lights just before him so I had to stop. They turned orange just before he had to break so he floored it to beat me. I intentionally nailed it (traction control off) in 1st, whapped it into second and the proceeded to perform a massive rolling burn out up to the roundabout 100m ahead, arms crossed up controlling it in a very noise slide. I think he thought like you did, that he had won, whereas in all reality, all I was doing was having a laugh trying to make the most noise and most lairy vision possible on the road. His passenger looked in the mirror to see the M3 a few meters behind pointing quite literally the wrong way

anyway -

1.3 ohv escort 1990 Estate. 59 bhp. Stripped out, 0-60 achievable but cant even guess how slow. What would it have been - maybe 13 seconds or something?!

Evo tommi mak - think they are quoted in the 4's as std.

998 mini, had it as a bit of a project car and then sold it to a mate..... had to drive it all the way to stoke with a misfire..... was gettin overtaken easily by a non-turbo diesel astra

Slowest would have been a 205GTi I bought off the 'bay... was shagged and I used about 15-20ltrs of oil on way from Preston to Fife.

Fastest, top speed was my old Celica GT4 that pulled an indicated 175 before I bottled out, but everywhere else my current Impreza would hump it so thats defo my fastest point-to-point car.

slowest - d reg 1.0l nissan micra - 0-60 about 14 seconds

fastest - Evo IV circa 5ish secs (with all that grip)

fastest = Fiest RS1800 for 0-60 RS2000 4x4 for top speed i think

Fastest is my 4x4 sapph, had it just before the limter kicked in 5th gear..

Most fun has been my mk6 RS 2000 - ATB, MOs and 330mm APs made it a beast on the back roads!
