Was in an accident this morning :( Advice needed
Happened in birmingahm this morning, coonting lorry drivers. My first car on the second day of my NEW job. Because im only 3rd party fire and theft ( could'nt afford fully comp, FPF&F was £1100 ) my insurance company basically dont wanna know. I was waiting around a round about pulling out and he thought he could be clever and cut around me, what he ment was cut though me
As my insurance have pretty much left it to me is there anything i can do? Any advice from anyone who has been in a simular situation?
Some might laugh because it was only a KA but it was my first and i loved it

Were the police called?
You should have called them, they would have decided whos fault it was.
If you have both left the scene, there is no proof whos fault it was, sorry.
Hopefully the lorry driver will admit fault.
If you think he was in the wrong, and left without talking with you to guage who was at fault then I would ring the police and have him done for leaving the scene of the accident.

I would report him to the police mate.
If he has given you his company details, tha tis almost an admission of liability.
If he thought he wasnt at fault he would have kept on to his details.

When my mrs had her accident she phoned the police as the bloke who hit her was getting proper arsey about it. They said is anyone injured, she said no, so they said sorry we won't come out.

if it's a company vehicle then they only have to give you the head office contact details and their name and it's up to you to get the details and check them, otherwise it's you who are left high and dry
we have an insurance form where the thrid party fills in all their details and there is a perforated bit at the bottom with ours to give to them in return
get the details to the insurance company, get a number from plod (they'll give you a form to fill in and then process it) and then start chasing your insurance company, after all, that's what you've paid them the money for
