you can tap it out which means you will need a bigger bolt, or you can fill it with that liquid metal, let it go off then drill and tap it the same size as it should be.
im a engineer and have done this many times to holes on all sorts, but make sure the hole is clean, bit of degreaser will do it, dont have to drill it out before as the rought surface will help it bond to it.

head can stay on mate, just take the rocker cover off, clean the shit from near the hole and get your self a cutting tap thing (dnt no wot there called.lol) and gently tap it out while spraying it with a lubricant like wd40 or sumink..

look dont mean to put anyone down here, but you cant just retap it, the thread has been stripped out, you cant put a 6mm tap in if the hole is now 7mm can ya, you will have to tap it out bigger, this means that one of your bolts will have to be bigger. unless you re-fill the hole and start again.
easy way to do it, take the rocker box off (make sure you dont get the swarf in the head so cover it) if your re-taping, drill the right size hole for the tap then tap it, if your gunna fill it (best way) clean it, fill it, wait till it goes off, drill the hole (5mm) then re-tap it with the 6mm tap, take it slow, use lube, turn it clockwise then give it a little anit clock wise (1/4 turn) this is so the alloy dont glog up the tap.
take ya time and job done.
if you were near me i would do it for ya for free.
