Are the silver and black top zetec blocks different???

I think the crank is about the only identical part.. (well, apart from some bolts)

the black-top has solid followers, an extra idler pulley, different sized compression chambers, slightly different bore?, baffled sump as standard

black top has some external bolt holes in different places, a smaller water pump hole, smaller main caps, oil filter housing is cast into the block instead of being on the pump, rods are longer, pistons are shorter and have a different pin size. bore sizes are the same. thats all i can think of for now.
