Euan - come as a passenger later this year with me. Thats a far cheaper way of doing it for ur first trip. If you enjoy it then u will work out how to get the cossie there

I was thinking the same - better with 2 days driving than 4 if the 2 days give u proper axs to the track.
Euan - no idea when I am going out yet. Will put thought into it

"little" update :
i came home from the ring last night 11.30 PM. my gt3rs was a lovely drive and traffic back was very little so had the pleasure of actually breaking the 300kmh barrier a few times
now from the beginning:
we were supposed to leave friday night which didnt happen...so early saturday i left basel, switzerland for a 4.5hrs drive up to the ring. we did hit a 14km queue at some point in germany but the weather was lovely so we just ignored the bother.
after calling mike r and diva i arranged for all of us to have lunch at the motorsport hotel. when we made it there we were greeted by a whole lot of PFers.... Mike R, Ryan, Kelv, Gatecrasher, etc etc.. We sat down and started ordering food
I then called the diva and after explaining where we were and how to get there the scousers showed up they also sat down and had some drinks / lunch.
At some point someone goes : the guy thats leaving, thats him.....the penguin..... I was a bit confused at first so i asked: who ??? Turns out dingy was sat just next to us and didnt even come over to say hello although i am sure he knew my porsche with a swiss plate and me sitting right next to mike r..... He then left making a swift military style jump into the backseat of some hummer and blared off with a group of ex-GIs by the look of it We had a right laugh at the clown show and then decided its time for showboat....(track was still closed due to a official 6hrs race going on). as soon as we said the word leave someone got a call from porkie....they said they were on their way to the restaurant aswell so i went to look at ryans ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PRETTY UNBELEIVABLE 3DOOR !!!!!!!!! U gotta see it to appreciate it....its better than new as simple as that....i was honestly shocked in a very positive way....
as soon as porkster and lady maria including pollyx and lovely zoe arrived keys were handed over...Lee so wanted a go in the gt3rs so we swapped cars there and everyone set off to showboat...... if only me and lee didnt shoot off like rockets to then loose the rest of the group and go for a scenic drive cause we in fact got completely lost
so we hammered our porsches back to where we knew and went to the parking lot @ the ring entrance. after a while we met up with eveyone again and started making the dinner planns. we informed everyone bout time / location and then set off to the hotel to get a shower n dress properly. pollyx, zoe, maria and lee were already sitting in the garden when i came down and joined them for a glass until the rest of the crew arrived. all of a sudden PF flooded that hotel there were 22 of us, all in party mood
so keeping traditions close to your heart 20 of 22 people ordered the hotstone with meat and i beleive everyone, once more, loved the food there and i only saw happy faces. to my great pleasure 2 very good friends (lee and diva) sat right next to each other and for the 1st time had a chance to get to know each other. we secretly titled it : londoner meets the good scouser gang
at the end of the dinner (1.30AM) everyone went to the bar and i ended up drinking with pollyx until 4 AM i was soooooooooo fooked still when i woke up....not funny....at all.....
after a nice breakfast we all drove to the ring entrance once more to meet up with our people. the street going up to the entrance was 1 solid queue and it took us the better part of an hour to get to the parking lot. since me n lee cant go on the offroad parkinglot with the porsches we had to stay in the queue
when we made it up there i saw mr. diva under a GT2 Apparently the cam sensor has called it quits and allthough they were able to source a new 1 on a sunday the car decided its had it... german quality up my ass
diva at some point ended the social repair help phase and we all went down to the famous OFFROADING PLACE ........yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyy
the tall, blue eyed german greeted us "heelo eferion i am the instruktor" after some rubbish talk (and he forgot to mention totalling a suzuki jeep "only" costs 500 euros) we then boarded the totally and utterly beaten suzuki SJ´s ... lee and maria got themselves a kaki brown one with a pink bikini top, obviously alex f aint girly enough for that and got instructed that over the walkie-talkies we aint allowed to air our opinion...just this uber correct blue eyed was allowed to talk to us, which he constantly did, and noone understood alex´s words were : i am here the 5th time and never understood the fooker over radio
the first 20 minutes we were all behaved and awwwwww look what u can do...awesome...until the rally scene hit in .... i thought it was a wonderful idea to start ramming alex up the ass (of his car) we had such a right laugh that my throat hurt...the pink bikini top then let go, maria and lee off to the car park to get another SJ...after they came back they made a bald apprearace by smacking into the back of my jeep as a greeting it ended up in all of us randomly bumping into the other and was quite an amusement....i am still giggeling now even thinking about it, was fabulous
noone knew what was next......but me.....
we then went up to another sand track with little tiny offroad buggies with lawn mower engines....lee got into 1 and took off ramming everyone off track and laughing so hard, we standing outside alost wet ourselves cause it was so loud.... somehow they kept breaking down so by the time i got into 1 that would do more than 1 lap i was out with shorty and sticky.... NOW STICKY CAN PEDAL THEM if his would not have run out of fuel on every 2nd lap then most likely he would have kicked all our asses.....BUT..........his buggy let em down so me n shorty gave em a nudge on every lap at some unforeseen moment in time i missed the turn slightly, went straight into a wooden pole and hit my head quite a bit on the rollcage... bummer but life goes on....so then i took on shorty who from behind sent me flying up a tirewall as a revenge for hitting him full force in the side on a U-turn
shorty got off track and i continued with paul. we battled for another couple of laps and then both crashed into eachother and stood still. we looked at each other : sticky, u done aswell ? ya m8...quits the german was a bit astonished as we both got out of our little buggies to shake hands
after the offroading we headed back to the ring parkinglot and said goodbye to everyone, it was already to time to go
it was really fun and a different ring experience (only done 1 sightseeing lap in back of mikes escort) but i found out for me its the people off here that make it fun, not the place
then gunned the porsche home in record time, being amazed that it goes much better than the turbo ever did (maxed out at 305kmh) whereas thisone has a lot more left in it at 307 that i´ve seen on the digital speedo
Up until i left, touch wood, noone apart from stickys alternator module that went, had ANY ISSUES WHATSOEVER Stay safe guys and enjoy the rest of the trip

Just had a phonecall from Si-B, his evo is going to be a lot harder to spot on the camera now, he has had to swap onto a normal set of wheels as he has cracked two of the powder coated yellow ones, lucky he noticed during inspection and they didnt actually carry on to completely fail!
