Nice to see someone who has actually done some practical testing of it really.

Main thing is it seems to work.

As most claims about these setups is they never work anywhere near as well as one mounted in the proper place.

There is no doubt they wont be as good mounted there, but seems they are better than most thought.

Still would wanna see more cars running well like it with good info, as most the setups ive seen have just been full of bullshit sales talk rather than real info.

I presume there are good benefits in reducing underbonnet temps that way too...

Deffo help underbonnet temps loads.

Main prob is EGT will be lower once hits turbo, which will slow down spoolup (exhaust wrap will help that, but by how much?), and distance is much further, slowing down response.

HOW MUCH worse of both has always been the thing. Theory is one thing, reality is another. All the internet chitchat always made it to be really bad, but thats all bollocks talked by people who havent tried, and it seems ok on this 205 at least.

They do it on big engines a lot, but big engines and smallish turbos means response etc is never an issue then regardless, so its interesting to see it on a little 1.9 and a T25 sized turbo.

Need to see it more on smaller engines or enourmous turbos to be more sure how well (or not) it works I guess.
