To some people its special, to others its an old sierra shell!

how can an ex works shell be mint? it must be minged underneath after those events, surely?

would be an interesting shell to have. because of the history, i would say that it must be worth £2k to somebody. good luck to him wit hthe sale, and keep us posted

It has been fully restored, I have some pics of the resto, but I cannot tell who has it yet, I hope everyone will understand, because I really need that shell, and will pay the price. I fully understand it is a piece of history, and there is no doubt it will be perfectly used.

As soon as I get it I will post more details/pictures of it, but sorry in the meantime if I cannot give more details about it. Honestly I searched for such a long time an ex-works shell that I cannot see this one passing in front of my eyes without doing everything I can to get it.

Thanks everybody for the messages there, as soon as I buy it (if the guy doesn't want 10k£ for it of course) I will star the rebuild thread.

I will have to ask, Tim, he doesn't speak a very good english (worse than me ! ) so he gets trouble to answer my questions hehe. He yet has to answer me about his price, and won't forget to ask for the logbook.

You have PM btw.

Nono the picture doesn't show the car itself, it was just a pic of how was the car when it was racing, I don't know the exact number, but yes, as said, it should be A1-FMC (Monte Carlo 1992, Corsica 1992), A2-FMC (Acropolis 1992, San Remo 1992) or A10-FMC (Portugal 1992, Finland 1992).

how can you trace shell history? Any motorsport body that can give all the info, previous owners, use on which events etc etc Going from a reg? i would like to trace my GpA sapphire shell too. bare GpA battered shell from £500 and that is totally bare, rolling with closures and front rear beam and steering etc from £1000 to £1500 maybe? If it is Mint and restored Im sure £2k isnt too much to ask even for a bare shell- doors boot bonnet.

Well now he doesn't really want to sell the shell alone. He told me the car complete with all new parts or rebuilt as new (all to works specs) is 95'000euros. Yes, the price of a Subaru Impreza WRC. I think its pretty over for my dream of getting that shell I just need to finish speaking with the guy maybe he will change his mind...
