if i have an escos with no airbag.. could i fit a airbag somehow?? i knw it seems silly but just wondering.

I have just done the very same conversion.
dead easy to do:
you need to visit a scrappy and get the controller,clock spring and wiring from a mk5 escort airbag car (not a mk6)
the controller is high up behind the dash on the bulkhead the wiring is a separate harness including the bulbholder for the dash light, the main power plug fits into the fuse box in the bottom left hand corner.
