Hello to all.

Good to see the usual wagon jumpers are on the thread as usual. (main reason i havent been on pf for months)

So you all want a story?

In a nutshell:-

Opportunity came up to get out of England, so took it.
Problem is, out in the sticks in Southern Ireland, its quicker to teach a cow to fly and send a message than it is to get internet connection.
So, now new workshop is set up, internet is on, and ready to rock.

Rob, im sorry you have had problems with your unit, and getting in touch. Rest easy, as im on the case and publically promise you it will get sorted.

I havent had any complaints yet, and im not about to start now.
Also, due to the use of different suppliers, all work carries 1 year warranty as apposed to 6 months on rebuilds, and 2 years on new units.

Thanks and regards,
Carl

looking further through my posts i did find a post about in well in its 6 months warranty, i did call a couple of places and they offer a year warranty, some 2.

https://passionford.com/forum/showth...ighlight=paceo

so i spent £26 to send it to ireland, recieved an e-mail saying he would not repair it, he didnt even unwrap my turbo unit to have a look. i have sent him numerous e-mails but never get a reply. also stating i can show SORNS and my new insurance i have just purchased after having it 3 years off the road. have been away from home also but still in use with a computer every now and then.

its done about 3 miles on it from repair, so im sending it to a well respected member on here to have a look at it and see what has been done to the unit (also to see if it has a step gap rear seal etc...), why it smokes and leaks after a repair baffles me!

no offense like, but i always found it complete madness that people were paying him for turbo work when he just worked in a pizza place and used to even get simple stuff about turbos wrong when posting on here.

lol I remember when he was asking for business ideas, and then kinda decided on turbo's so then asked on here to find out how to do it
but whatever, if he's good at it who cares I spose, personally I would go to the long standing lads like Turbo Technics but I'm sure Carl is good if he's had no complaints (until now)

im sending it to a well respected member on here to have a look at it to see whats been done exactly to the turbo unit.

https://passionford.com/forum/showth...ighlight=pizza

Plenty plenty more tho.

Swearing till he was blue in the face that RS500 T4s wasnt water cooled, that Volvo 740 T3 Turbos were smaller than ERST T3s (and that 740 turbos are 2litre), that GT35s were just truck turbos, all kinds of random shit.

Anyone can take a turbo to bits in their bedroom and change seals etc, just amazing how many mugs give people cash with no proof that they have any clue about what they doing.

Stupidly for me I assumed the trader status he had at the time vouched for the quality of his work. As that was why we got trader status on here, so any old monkey couldn't sign up and con people out of money.......

Becuase it wasn't a money making excercise was it......

Beacuse he said he was a trader....

Not everyone is going to have the proof you are asking for. To do that you would need to be a fully limited company like I am. Then you can download my accounts and all sorts LOL

but surely if you recon turbos you need a machine which he could atleast prove he had with a photo of him next too maby? And if he first came on here asking what job he should do then it was obviously he was not qualified or even able to correctively rebuild turbos, like someone has already pointed out, i guess when PF were offered trader fees they couldn;t resist.

mate he could have just been a person who sends them to someone he knows

how many garages have staff working on cars they aint got a clue about

how many people sell TV's but aint got a clue how then work, when it fails they then get it repaired

someone wants to be a trader theres NOTHING you can do about it just like if you rented a shop ect

thats the thing about capitalist countrys i guess

what got me, is over and over it was obvious what he knew bugger all, hell, a few of us pointed out the obvious a few times, and if you checked his previous posts it was clear he was no car expert, never mind a turbo expert.

but people STILL trusted him to fix turbos.

I seem to remember you tearing into him about RS500 T4's being completley different to Bently ones, and him insisting they were the same ... Nuff said.
