I noticed from your pics Dave that you removed the lower splitter and taped up all the gaps..
Stupidly I made several errors..
I ran with my splitter fully exteneded (same spec as track)
I used wider tyres
I didn't run the Escos under tray (did you?)
I didn't tape up any gaps...
I made one other mistake that I don't want to disclose
Maybe all the above add up to 2/3mph?,..
I also have an 800hp turbo on the shelf begging me to fit it and cancel retirement and go again

WTF are you on about? single most idiotic statement on this thread?
You can do top speed runs on fucked shite tyres that are not of the correct speed rating and you will probably survive...what do you need to stop at the end of the runway? whats THE most important thing on the car? The fucking brakes

Martin, about time you had your car timed by PF as your fulling down the league.
Never run side by side but could have a day with both cars timed to see whos on top

after reading this thread i am now 100% definatly not going to buy performance ford magazine ever again, its pathetic, every race, rally, football, horserace, tiddlywinks comp now post instant results on the net but the papers still sell the week after,
makes performance ford seem desperate for sales and desperation is one of the worst traits anyone can have!!!how long before this magazine folds!!
well done to dave yum though, but dont bother challenging martin, your just wasting your time there sorry.
and all this talk of 200mph being scarey,on a fooking motorbike it is,not in a bloody saloon car!!!!! LOL.

A pitiful 156 mph.
To give you an idea of how much my fear kicked in when coming to the brow of the hill, i would have rather been getting ready to take off in a plane, and that me saying something as i'm terrified of flying
Will have another crack at it when the new turbo is fitted, but will say would rather be on the track......

i never once said it was not hard martin.
but try doing 200mph on a bike over the mountain in the wind,or 192mph down the hill from the creg on a 996 sps with it stuck on the limiter in 6th and setting the exhausts on fire!!thats scarey, not on a runway 200 yards wide!!!!
and answer my email i sent you!!ive a lad needs your help.
