Went to ProAlloy to see the Progress on Sierra. AWESOME!!!!
Took a day off and popped down to ProAlloy to see how Wayne and Alex were progressing with the Sierra. I have gone away a VERY VERY VERY happy man!!!
The original plan was to just tidy the Fuel system up and fit an Alloy Tank for better weight distribution, weight saving and to add yet more blingness. BUT as the car is being massively tidied up and turned into something that reflects the amount that has been thrown at it, we decided to junk all the old alloy bits and bobs and treat it to a full set of Pro Alloy goodies.
Sooooo glad as well, the quality is simply amazing and once finished the car is going to perform and look sooo much better
Thanks to Wayne and Alex for a great day and letting me mooch about with my camera all afternoon. Good lunch boys
Here are some piccys!
Sierra getting in the way as usual!
New header Tank, power steering pump, swirl pot, and not yet fitted Turbo cooler
Junking the Setrab Turbo cooler for the Bigger and Better Proalloy one meant relocating the oil cooler... not a problem for the boys
New Alloy rad
Bad piccy... GOOD rad
Also decided to junk the old Genuine Rs500 Cooler for a Super Sweeeet ProAlloy one... Lee Tib did this as well!!!
Internal piccys of Intercooler
Wayne hard at work, proving he is not just an Ugly face
Mock up of the new Fuel tank and Accumulator, ALL the stuff on the right of the picture will be going.
Tank is a foam filled motorsport spec job. Awesome quality! here is Alex putting the foam in
I went home HUGELY impressed at both Wayne and Alex's knowledge, experience and passion for performance products. The professionalism of Pro Alloys work is also obvious from these pictures, and they are very well respected in the industry and work on cars as mad as £1m original GT40's so you can trust em with your cossie
They are not just making shiny bufty bits, these guys know and clearly understand what works and what doesn't and are not afraid of getting their hands dirty
Had a great laugh today as well, top fellas, TOP company!
They are going to be at the Redline Track day at Bedford in November and have offered 50% discounts to anyone that can out drink them at the Reyland 'aftershow party'

Nice one Lee and the ProAlloy boys
You should have binned that cooler like i did just before the test results were published mate! They were still worth something then
Didn't think you would be running coolant through the turbo or is it not an option on your turbo not to???
Cheers Spadge...

First thing to do is drink like a half a can of baking oil, so when you drink the alcohol, the alcohol will float on the oil. You won't feel a fooking thing
But when the oil has worked out, it's braindead
At least you got 50% off
Ok.. I must be bored / pissed to tell you all this

lee i dont doubt your trustworthyness m8
and im also sure that the boys doing the job WILL ensure this dont happen !!
i could have prevented this (and susequently have done) by using filters before the pumps , but still would have fooked the filters , my tank was made in the usa and the foam was apparently mil spec (what ever that is/was)

No mate, you need to with the Roller bearing stuff. They have alot less oil running through them and so it doesn't cool, just lubricates.... I blew an MD240 up by not running it and Sunny lost his whole car in the same way
Who in God's name told you NOT to run coolant thru a Cossie turbo? ....I am thick as pig shit but i respect the need for water cooling!
