Default Mondeo help

Right then...

I have a 2001 mondeo 2.0l petrol. While driving it earlier it started to miss its tits off then the management light came on..
The light stays on now and the car misses when under load.

Anybody got any ideas?

I am guessing plugs and leads but anybody got any suggestions before I fork out for something that I may not need!?!

Thankyou!
