Default fuel pump re-wire question

evening;

going to get an uprated fuel pump for the 2wd cossie, but i've heard its best to re-wire it so it draws the correct voltage all the time rather than the volts dropping

anyone done this? what's involved and are there any instructions anywhere?

help would be appreciated

Ta

Briefly - you need to run a fused 12v feed directly from the battery via a relay to the fuel pump +ve.

Use your original fuel pump wiring to switch the solenoid in the relay.

-ve from the fuel pump directly to the chassis.

Why does that use a Single pole double throw, cant you just use a SPNO, and i use 20amp fuses usually, as the oumps dont have a massive current draw
