Andy ,,who owns this car ,, is one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet
I got to sit in this car at brunters ,,now i know that sounds a bit like a little kid chuffed because he got to sit in a fire engine ,,lol,, but to sit in a car with the history that this car has realy gives you a buz just sat thinking who has raced it and what it has done in its life .
Fantastic car in just outstanding condition .
This car is what gave me the motivation to build my new 3 door

car
ive been to andys house on many occasions for a chat ,as said one of the nicest guys you could meet ,also well into his racing, not only did i sit in the car he took me for a few laps round donnington in it ,let me say its not a slow car and he can drive a bit as well ,i think the car is a dick johnson 001 ,andy might see this thread and reply .

i know Andy pretty well have met him a good few times at different events
he is a top bloke and very handy @ engineering, his brother Grareth is also top bloke
the upmost genuine people you could ever meet
Andy has since bought a plane engine who is toying with one at the min

This is the car going up the hill at Goodwood in '06.
One of the new toy's, 9 cylinder, 12 litre, supercharged and fuel injected, 1950 Alvis Leonides.

My favourite touring car, I watched a video of dick Johnson getting interviewed and he says that they ran it in on the dyno without a turbo and it made 90bhp, then they fitted the turbo and turned the boost upto about 2.4bar and it made 680bhp lol, it must of been a handful. To think that's still big bhp these days.
Very luck to own it but must say the original wheels look a hundred times better than those split rims.
