Yeah, dissapointing to read posts like that - maybe it's a wind-up or bravado :(

Matt Oct 17, 2004 09:45 AM

shouldnt have been removed imo

mark Oct 17, 2004 09:46 AM

after the other thread i dont think it was a wind up

shame it went so far last night i know the mods have lives and cant be on here 24/7

TIFF Oct 17, 2004 09:49 AM

Just logged on this morning after missing last nights events so i popped to the sin bin and took a look

Matt Oct 17, 2004 09:53 AM

why exactly was it deleted?

TIFF Oct 17, 2004 09:56 AM

Not to sure to be honest Matt

Could of been the whole drink driving thing

OR

The way everyone was ripping into Ran, some cruel things being said :?

But at the end of the day, one of the Mods thought it should be deleted so has been ;)

POPEYE Oct 17, 2004 09:58 AM

Matt I completely agree with you :top:

What he was thinking posting that thread I have no idea :?

Either way hes lost any respect he had here im my opinion :(

POPEYE Oct 17, 2004 10:18 AM

and after reading the whole thread, i agree with jules
some of the postings where way out of order

Thrush Oct 17, 2004 10:42 AM

Might have been way out of order but IMO (and I also think, in Uncle Henry's opinion too) were totally JUSTIFIED.

I don't know if you have ever lost anyone close to you thru drink driving, my condolences if you have, but it is NOT a nice feeling at all. Take the feeling of saddness you get when someone close to you dies of natural causes, multiply it a few times, then add double the anger and you ian't even got close

I think the post should be re-instated, maybe lokc it and sticky it tho...

it was moved because the poster asked for it to be removed
I am not fooking surprised he asked for it to be removed :roll::roll: But I would have said to him "fuck off - you made your bed, now you gotta lie in it pal"

POPEYE Oct 17, 2004 10:51 AM

i get what you are saying,i just dont get what you posted to him.he didnt do nothing to you or uncle henry
he made a mistake, and was silly to post it.
no need for the raping, running over and so on

Phil Oct 17, 2004 10:56 AM

Agreed with Popeye on this one. Plenty of people speeding kill other in accidents, but you don't go round telling them they deserve be die and are scum of the earth. I don't see the difference, driving fast or driving drunk, yet we all drive fast!

Personally Thrush I think you're just fitting into the persona moulded by our government for us to hate drink drivers in such a way. Uncle Henry I can kind of understand as he has seen the effect first hand, but still a little harsh if you ask me!

Ian M Oct 17, 2004 10:57 AM

i dont think it should have been removed if you post shit that you know is going to upset people then you have to accept the consequencies. i allways thought he was a decent enough bloke however it now appears hes a clown.

ImaRacing 700 Oct 17, 2004 11:12 AM

Personally i never saw this thread as i was out...but can u just say this..their aint nothing worse than crashing sober...ROFL

Thrush Oct 17, 2004 11:14 AM

Phil - bollox.... I lost a good mate to drink driving. I was even more pissed off to find he was the drunk and aswell as killing himself he killed the innocent driver he crashed into.... Not seen it first hand? You try being the one to console his financee at the and after the funeral :(

Agree totally with that Ian said  And with Deano - the dudes lost ALL respect now....

Matt Oct 17, 2004 11:14 AM

totally agree

i dont remotely agree with his actions but i didnt come on making threats and rapist comments

put it back and delete the threats pops ;)

JamesH Oct 17, 2004 11:21 AM

Either way hes lost any respect he had here im my opinion

Totally agree!

Uncle Henry Oct 17, 2004 11:24 AM

In case the one in the muppet room gets deleted too, this is RAN's idea of a good night:

but it was fun so fook ya'll haters :blabla: :blabla: :blabla: :blabla:

He then tried to claim he had only had 4 pints and was driving carefully

I said some harsh things and I dont regret or take back a single one of them.
Like Thrush said, you try consoling someone when they've just collapsed having been told their loved has been killed by some prick like this
You try sitting in the church at the funeral watching with tears in your eyes as a sobbing family say their final goodbyes to their 19 year old son or brother, you try watching your girlfriend try to read a poem as a last goodbye to her brother only to break down and be helped back to her seat, and then try living with several years of depression as a result.

now tell me its still ok to drink and drive?

ImaRacing 700 Oct 17, 2004 11:31 AM

Thrush...that was a classic Bernard Manning joke to lighten the mood :D ..As i never saw the post i can only guess that Ran??? said he drunk drove?? :( ...

dannyblackpool Oct 17, 2004 11:36 AM

drink driving is wrong end of.........

Forgive me if im wrong but Speeding is a bigger killer and i bet everyone of you have done so, Your all lucky fuckers!! Dont make yourselves out to be angels when clearly none of us are perfect!

MrsFrog Oct 17, 2004 11:38 AM

Uncle Henry, Thrush, none ever said it was right and I sure hope none will even imply that it could be.

But why just lash your dogs on him and never on guys who say they have just done over... dunno... 160 on a public road.... or done a 180 turn in town or slid on a wet road and crashed in a pedestrian bridge, or crashed their cars because they were speeding and lost it at a roundabout? :?

Tell me... what is the difference between all these people? Is there anyone of them acting more responsible than the others? If they do what they do on a public road with the sort of cars we drive, then they are as silly (choice of word here as I will not swear!! LOL) and irresponsible as a person who has had a drink and hop in his/her car.

And losing someone to a drunk driver is as painful as loosing someone to a fast driver.... trust me...

Thrush Oct 17, 2004 11:47 AM

IMA - that comment was not aimed at you, it was aimed at the user name PHIL who made this comment;

ADUSR33 Oct 17, 2004 12:14 PM

he's a lucky boy he wasn't handlin a hangover and a smashed coz

RSCAT Oct 17, 2004 12:27 PM

guys who say they have just done over... dunno... 160 on a public road....
IIRC he had a `watcher` at two points either end and was on a totally clear road
so had he crashed and died it wouldnt have hurt any innocent people.

know what your saying though.
