Dont need any work doing to get 4x4 Cosworth calipers to fit S2 hubs - all you need is a 1mm spacer (commonly known as a washer ) on each bolt.

You also have to run 2WD Cso disc's, not 4x4 one's

the offset's wrong, 4x4 discs are a lot shallower than 2wd ones.

As rich said

2WD Sierra discs have the same offset as Escorts, but the 4x4 ones don't, and would mean the disc wouldn't sit in the caliper "jaws"

If you want a hand fitting them, here's a very good guide

are these much better than the standard S2 brakes? Do they work well with the ABS?

was checking out the link that was posted up and apparantly the S2 callipers are better than the cossie ones 5% more powerful. I might go with one of his conversions using the S2 callipers. What you guys think?

I was going to post the same thing, but yes if you already have S2 calipers and not bought any 4x4 ones, I'd spend the £40 on the bracket set you need and use S2 calipers with 2WD discs, a) cos of the 5% more efficiency, and also you will retain your pedal feel as the calipers are matched to the servo (alledgedly, swapping to 4x4 calipers could result in a softer pedal feel)

Then you can also afford to spend another £40 on some decent braided lines too - muchos better than poxy rubber ones So spend £80 on brackets and lines, or spend £100+ on 4x4 calipers... Up to you, but both set ups are a good improvement on std set ups
