Default ka cutting out when driving on motorways or high revs

as above folks
had a ka in a while ago and whan driving the car seem to strangle itself and cut out when revved to say 4k
put it on the c.o machine and the c.o was 12%
check the throttle body and idle control valve all alright
when its struggling its still got a excellent spark
it will re start on the button too
it was serviced not long ago
had a pattern lamda senser on
feels like good pressure coming out of the exausht when revved
dis connected the lamda senser and it never cut out and the c.o dropped to about 10 to 11 %
any suggestions
shes asked me to order a pattern cat and lamda senser

mate its eitehr speed sensor in the gear box ISCV

i can get you a good price for a lambda sensor (bosch) and cat for you if you like but that aint it

lambda sensor affects low idle, not fast idle i belive ( though not sure if im honest without my books at work )

usually cutting out on KA's is speed sensor ( though not sure why, but comon fault when i was at ford) or ISCV

its fine when idling and so on mainly happens when revved up
on the co machine its good at idle but the minute you rev it the co goes sky high thats why i was thinking its the cat and lamda i didnt have too long to play with it

it also had about 2 litres of too much oil in it too
poss gonna check the tappet clearence when i get it again soon
can the tps be set or has it gotta be set using all the volts and ohms measurments

if thelambda isnt working correctly then surely the fuel will be all over the place

i know when lambdas go down on rovers they run really rich as theres no control tofuel

so could be an issue with the lambda

lamda can but thats ALOT to do and it wouldnt flood the engine when driving on motorways, though speed sensor might confuse it i think and cause issues

i removed the lambda from my BMW, fueling was bad but not running that bad hence my assumption

lambda works lower rev rage i thought as in controls the closes loop,,,, higher up the revs it should switch over and the AFM takeover ?

not sure though as i aint got my books at work to help me and pretend i kknow what im talking about

Was there a rattle from the cat recently? had this on my mondeo last week, nothing past 4k....turned out to be the cat broken up.

Also, as it's an engine problem on a Ford I always slave a spare coilpack in and try that as a matter of course.

Think i had a similar problem with my Ka at high revs it would just cut out even iv i reved in neutral so the garage i took it to said that the idle had droped and needed uping. Now im not very techy so thats all i can tell you , but since then the Ka hasn't missed a beat.
