Default Focus C max 1600 petrol PAS pump-Help needed.

i need one asap! are they the same on the 02 plate fiesta/ normal focus? can anyone get me the FINIS code? as the wife aint got a car and it will only be a matter of time till she moans i aint done nothing! ( lol)

you sure its the pump??? only ever changed the pas pipe and union!!
and no the pumps arn't the same

right! what do i need to order from Fords?? PAS pipe and union? as my ford dealer is a dunce

ask for the high pressure supply line to the rack and the union that goes into the pump,also you'll have to order the strecthly belts for alt etc (hardest part putting these back on!!)
easier to take alt off and cut the pipe off so you can get a 18mm socket
on the union

or take the pump off with the pipes still attached and take it off in the vice.thats what we usually do.

oo theres a interesting way of doing it.

i've always given it a smack with a hammer and sharp long chisel, gets the pipe out the way in seconds and the union off with a socket!

There should be a technical service bulletin on these.
Try and speak so someone in service.

Once you've got it off, put the union in the pump first!!!!
Then push the pipe in afterwards, otherwise it's a bit of a tw@t!

Not the easiest job in the world anyhow,
