Default Ford locks ... getting barrels adapted to suit existing keys

Used to know a guy that did them for me but his Ford dealer shut down... and no regular Ford parts counter folk seem to want to do any

Need the old TX ones (MK3 Escort style) and current styles ones done (MK4 Escort onwards)

Hate having more than one key for a car!

A locksmith should be able to adapt the barrel to suit the key.

Don't think your average locksmith will be able to rebuild a barrel to a Ford number/key.

Nobody else ever get this done, or do you all have 3 different keys for your car?

I can do the later style ones.

not sure how the earlier ones work but it can't be that difficult to figure out.

there piss easy mate,,,, i used to build up keys when i was at ford to pay for lunch for us in the office

theres only 4 different cuts to the MK4 keys, 1, 2, 3, 4

theres only 6 tumblers,,,,, the HARDEST PART is taking em apart as the plastic collar aitn designed to go back together

seriously its piss easy, tell me what locks you wanna do and ill tell you how to go about it

though i aint got any spare tumblers though as i left them when i left ford,, i had fooking LOADS of em,, rebuild my cossie and my cabrio to ahve the same key when i owned both so i could get into the cossie when i needed without going back into the flat

tibbe keys are a little different and most ford places will have broken the gun that cuts em by now

take a piccy of the key and PM me it, ill tell you what the combination is,,,, then buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it to the combination i tell you, always start at the T if the key ( inside first)

trust me its piss,, i was earning about 100 quid a week doing it cash in hand as most back street garages aint very smart

programming mondeo key fobs was another touch for me too
