Until such time as Petruci can make it online to reinstate a backup of the general discussion forum if he wishes, and also until he agrees that he is happy with the measures the webteam have taken to limit the damage, that room will remain inaccessible because another company have an interest in the forum now and we do not know what Petrucci has to do about problems on their behalf since we have heard from neither Him nor IB since the problem occured even though both have been online.

GD hasnt been reinstated from a back up as there are many posts missing still.

I could be wrong.

I hope one of the mods will be able to claify this

You are correct Simon. I had to make the decision to re-instate GD myself as Petrucci hasnt been contactable since Friday even though he was online and knew about the attack so he must have had some real urgent business elsewhere and i didnt want the members to be without GD for too long so sorted it myself.

The hacker wouldn't be logged in as his own user name anyway.. so it's the reverse of the screenshot.... who WASN'T logged in?

Lynne is exactly right, whoever was logged in is NOT guilty lol - Simon was very quick to defend himself here as well

and as I remember the last topic on here before it went tits up was half the board laying in to the little gobshite again

but from what i can gather is a mods account was used, and that being the case, even if they appear offline it still shows up to other mods

Even so Pops, whoever hacked a mod's account would only be logged in using the mod's account, unless, of course, they were using 2 PCs. So it's a case of looking to see what mods were logged in even though they used the 'appear offline' option.

PS

I know mods can see who is logged in if the user is 'hidden'.... I run 2 forums of my own

thats what im getting at i think lol. i think the screen shot was taken by a mod, so it shows what mods were online even if they was hidden?
so it would have been a mods account that is showing in the screen shot, i just want to know whos account it was that got hacked or used

..if a person can hack it is a fair bet he will know how to make himself untracable,like my hater glass eye etc etc etc..who incidentally is probably the same person who hacked here,as untracable also

..in reality it was the person who did it previously,its a cover up to promote other forums IMHO.

Ah. Means nothing.
Anyone with any sense would change another mods password and then log in as him so you werent aware of which account you had actually used to get in. Only a moron wouldnt think to do that.

It is possible and very easy to have an IP address of any country you want
no matter where you are in the world. This is called a proxy.
.....and virtually untracable.

Like the one I am using right now LOL

I just noticed a minor problem...

When you first get to PF on the main index page not logged in, GD is not shown.
I.E. Its missing !

It only becomes visible in the index when logged in ???
