Default Dead turbo?

Been having some problems with the runabout and it's proving a ball ache.

Car seems down on power and keeps smoking. Couple of times I've given it a boot full shifted to second and the cars just flatted and not wanted to pull.

This afternoon I changed the plugs to find the old plugs covered in oil. The car is now pulling well again but smokes like a bitch under boost. Got the wife to drop me and give it a bootfull and it didn't smoke???

Poss turbo seals? Suggestions welcome before the turbo comes off for refurb

Should have kept the RS Turbo on the road over winter would have been cheaper

if the turbo has gone the plugs would not be cover in oil mite be more then turbo do a comp test to find out

before the turbo becomes worthless take it off and get someone like vince @cr turbos or uv turbos to check it out the pick the turbo up for free and you get it back with in days

Why not? if the seal into the compressor side is weeping it will be allowing oil to pass into inlet side and where does the inlet goto...... Combustion chamber....... Whats in there i hear you ask? A piston, a few valves and yes..... A SPARK PLUG

Thanks mate.

After some further tweeking we are thinking the issue may be a fueling one. I swapped the plugs over on Thursday and the old ones looked like this.

Car drives a lot better now but still leaves a cloud of smoke under peak boost but we are now pretty sure it isn't blue. Drive it at less than full throttle and it drives and behaves perfectly.

No point in having a car I can't use full throttle on though

you could be low on comprision in 1 cylinder or have a faulty injector it doesnt seem to be turbo does the car missfire when on boost could be piston oil ring that is allowing oil up and foulling the plug

I wouldn't say it missfires but it does seem to hold back and the boost fluctuates up and down between 0.6 and 0.8 bar.

It's almost like the injector is sticking open and flooding the cyclinder out.
