Default TOW CAR ,OPINION,S PLEASE

Need a car to pull my car trailer,but am in a dielema what to buy,4x4 ie shogun,grand cherokee etc for me to use,or would say a 02my audi a4 diesel be suitable,that way we would have a car for my partner to use most the time,

what do you guy,s use

i have used a granada estate this year to tow my sierra with no problems at all!

doesnt it depend on how much you can legally tow?

Ie i dont think a car will be a able to tow a sierra on a trailer - surely its down to gross train weight or something.

Yes ran,that is another issue,gtw,need something that will tow for 1000 mls round trip in comfort

i have got a diesel isuzu trooper and a petrol shogun for sale-both will pull trailer no probs.

except the shogun hasnt got a towbar fitted

get something big and heavy i use a truck now had a near miss with my van with trailer on sudden side wind and massive swaying left to right bout 4 foot had to slow down to 35 mph to stop it. im lucky the road was clear as i would of hit traffic either side no doubt

get something boss of the job imo

Parents had a 3.0 V6 shogun auto, did them proud.
I'd go for the 3.5 V6 24 valve personally.
They've a 2.5 td discovery now, got a job to drag itself to 60 nevermind a caravan...

Shogun is the one for me I tow sapphire cosworth on brian james amax trailer with no problem, set cruise control to 65mph and it never drops at all on hills as for fuel 28/30 mpg.And yes watch the gross weight as most cars are not legal to tow car transporter loaded
