My nephew is thinking of buying one, it'll be his first cossie (GODBLESS HIM) he asked me what`s the maximumish ft.lb the gearbox can cope with, i said around 370bhp/370ft.lb am i right, or off the mark..
EXSCUSE my ingnorance, i've never had one so don't know a great deal about the 4WD Transmission...
my standard box is still alive, i dont launch it to hard but its had some abuse at 435bhp & 393ft/lbs,,,, i've been waiting for all the teeth to fall of 3rd gear
my mate is on his third in only a few months at 350bhp
inc an uprated 1
is that fraser i take it? is he not about 350 at AVA which is probably a good 400 anywhere else
hinks doesnt drive his that much but he certainly drives it hard when he does and still sounds ok.and thats stage 3.my mate with moonstoone saff is also stage 3 and has been ok

yeah fraser`s esco,its 310bhp @wheels davie
stevie`s car is super low milage aswell
i suppose itsall down to age of box/condition
the driver
torque curve
i had 2 stage 3 4x4 saphs ,and alot of hard launching at crail in the dry and never had a box or clutch let go,both standard clutch and box
and both with quickshifts
although i did always get a slight clutch into 3rd on one of them when kaining it
but you never know how old the gearbox is,milage done etc
