Vandals and Cars
2 weeks ago a car in our close was covered in brake fluid, we believe this house was being targetted due to their occupation (teachers) as they has had eggs thrown at their house a few months ago and other things have been happening by the sound of things.
Last night the next door house to them (older couple on their own with no enemies) got the same treatment brake fuild on roof and bonnet.
My car was on the drive at the time and was only 20 feet away from the last car vandalised.
These fuckers need catching.

These people are creatures of habit, they may do it on a certain day of the week / time etc so if you know when they did it before that might give u an idea when they might do it again.
My parents use to have trouble in there road most Friday / Saturday nights when the clubs kicked out. All the cops had to do was be around at that time to do something about it, but never did, more concerned about the shops in the town being damaged than Joe public. Failing that some of the people in the street that had seen stuff happen took things into there own hands if you know what I mean.

The residents car park on my road faces over onto a park (not lit either so makes the matter worse) and the cars are notorious for getting targetted on a weekend. Short of staying up to give them a good hiding, the residents clubbed together (due to the council not giving a flying fuck) and installed CCTV cameras a set in the house facing the car park and a set on the garage facing the car park...
They're discreet as well so not totally obvious at first

I dont think cctv will be a deterrent personally. It may even make them more determined from what ive seen and heard. faces can easily be covered up unfortunatly, unless of course their stupid enough not too.
Best thing to do would be to set up a security light to go off when around the car/s, the one that sounds an alarm in the house to wake you up. Take the bulb out and catch them in the act if you want.

its a real nice area and i would say average house prices are 300k round there.
problem is the scum go to the nice areas to cause trouble.
and as usual the police cant/dont do shit!
and what is the point of a community officer who cant apprehend a criminal caught doing something?????
