IS THIS ANOTHER E BAY BLAG???

Ey up peeps im selling something on the bay and this guy in italy has asked me how much to end the auction early..so i tell him and he's said thats fine and this was the remainder of his e mail

"I want also to ask if it's possible
for you to accept a secure third party company for
this deal.

I want to use the Ebay transactions office service for
a safe and secure deal for both parts,I'll pay the
ebay fees for this transaction .

I'll send the money at ebay transactions, when they
received the money they will contact you with the
transaction info.

After you are assured that the item has been paid, you
will send me the package .

After package is sent you will receive the money from
ebay in your currency by wire transfers, checks, money
orders."

Thank you.

why would he want to pay like this as ive sold loads of more expensive stuff and peeps have just paid through paypal..or am i just being a stoned paranoid mess   ...or am i being really thick and not realising that he means paypal?? :wall: :wall:

Any comments guys as my brain has stopped working

I would question it if i were you, no reason why he cant just pay normally like everybody else. DOn't think he means paypal either. Always dodgy when theres this "third party involved" aswell. Tell him to get bidding, if he wins he pays by normal methods.

Sound like Escrow to me

He obviously doesn't trust you..........lol

I'd simply reply that the auction clearly states what method of payment you accept personally, if he doesn't like that let the auction run

tell him to just bid for the amount hes offered you and do it through ebay. ay least you have half a chance of not being ripped off that way :?

If they use the e-bay ESCROW service, thats cool,

But i can remember a thread where someone used a fake escrow service, to obtain the goods :?

i had a feeling he doesnt trust me as i dont trust him either  ..it just set alarm bells ringing..ive mailed him and asked him to pay by paypal as he's still covered anyway..so ill see what he says :?
