brain tumour
dont quite know how to word this or wether i should post this but here goes anyway.
a few months ago i done a post about blackouts, well i eventually went to the doctors who sent me for an ecg, results were that i had a slow heart beat and an irregular heart beat, after that i was then sent to a specialist who suggested i had a form of epilepsy....he then sent me for an mri scan to which to my surpise i was told i had a brain tumour.....now need to have a lifecard which to my understanding is another ecg but this time they want to attach a moniter to me for 24 hours and for me to make notes on what i am doing during that time,i've also been told that i need another mri scan for them to decide wether they will need to operate or not.
i've also had to inform the dvlc about this which means they have asked for my driving licence for at least 1 year.......am thinking seriously wether to sell the rs or cover it up and let my wife take me out in it at weekends.
cheers

don't fret about the car or your license etc
make sure you do what the docrot tells you to do and hopefully everything will work out fine
brain stuff is complicated so don't worry about wehat john travolta was doing in that flick where he was an alien or whatever, read up a bit about it, take some leaflets etc home about it and think for the best
or you could set out to do everything you've ever wanted to do because you "think" you might not get the chance to do them again just because you've heard a scary story
you know the cause, now get the fix and then start again
keep us posted mate, as i might be able to share some experiences with you, not everyone can say they've had bits of skull embedded into their brain and had more clots than cream and been able to tell the tale, brain fiddlers (or neuro surgeons and the like) tend to get paid a lot because they are good at what they do, not because they need to buy bentley's
chin up and all that other stuff to keep your spirit up, in a years time you'll wonder what all the fuss was about as you mash your foot the the floor and start spanking the rs again

For Sale..Apply within.
Listen to dojj. Even tho he cannot spell, the man talks sense.
Do'ot make a rash decision to sell the RS. If in a years time you can drive again, and you sold it, how gutted would you be.
On the other hand, if you want to sell it, save up and then in a years time get something even better
Good luck with everything lad. And if you ever need to moan at someone or get stuff off your chest, telling a stranger sometimes helps....my PM box is always empty

all the best and take it easy.

Sorry to hear about this RsToy. My brother was found collapsed having a fit last Wednesday and they found a "mass" on the CAT scan & the consultants are giving their opinion on the MRI scan today.

Shit news mate, but it's unreal the amount of stuff they can fix these days
Don't stress about the car just yet - find out more about what's going on.
Good luck.

been there, done that mate, well, the brain getting fiddled with part anyway
depending on what they say when they see the results, it could be anything, so until you hear it from them, don't worry, it could be 500 different things so i won't give you a list because you'll only go and google yourself the answers and be fretting over what "could" happen
as the old saying goes, "IF my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle"
in the real world it is really shitty news, and i'm not saying it'll be fine and dandy and the rest of the cheary up stuff just to stop you from feeling down, you should be feeling really good that medical science has found what was wrong with you and some boffins are going to fix it, at least you'll be able to drive in a year's time

I have a friend and also a family member who has had similar experiences you will no doubt worry but must remember the Doctors know how to deal with such issues and will always put you 1st.
My wishes are with you and it will all be fine, just keep that RS tucked away until a time your able to enjoy it again.

Sorry to hear it mate, i remeber your thread on the blackouts.
My mate just had to be clear of blackouts for 12 months and got his licence back
Keep the RS, it will give you something to look foward to, the first spin out after 12 months or so, it will be awsome
I hope it all gets sorted out for you and you get back in the driver seat before to long.
