the car used to belong to a drug dealer from warrington called Gene who is know in prison and has been for the last 15 years he also owned a 2 rs200's and had his own racing team and transport company aswell as speed boats and a plane when he was sent down the police sold all his assets as procedes of crime
hope this helps a bit and the pic was taken outside my father in laws garage in 1990

it's running a set of greys on one bank, and a set of standard yellows on the other, which have probably never been hooked up.
amal valve piping has been messed with too.
still looks like a nice car

the transport company was called kays transport if i remember and i aslo seem to remember that the cars first owner was a race driver but i dont think it was rouse. Gene bought the car with 400 mile on from a garage in cumbria and it has had a full respray which was done by my father in law
i think Gene sold this car before he was sent to prison so it wasnt sold at police auction like his rs 200's

As for the leather , no 500 was made with leather so it must have been retrimmed after it was bought
Feel free to give me a call if you would like to chat

Right heres a few pics i took of the car when i went down for a look. Passenger side has the 500 wheels on to see how the car suits them , where as the drivers side has these wheels on......
They are the set of four 8 spokes with the original dunlops still on them from day 1. These are what came on the car when he brought it. The spare is the same and has never been removed from the boot!!
As said in previous posts, the car needs TLC, trim and dash need good clean, outside bodywork needs a good old polish and engine bay needs steaming and tidying up a bit.
I can vouch for the mileage, it is GENUINE, ive seen the MOT'S and the history with the car, the last time it was taxed was 1992!!!
Will pop down with COLEYST200 in the week and get him to pull it out the garage so we can get some better pics.

Those wheels are Grp A Speedlines and were fitted to a few special offerings from Ford Borehamwood. They look like 6x15" jobbies (you can get 7x15" in the same style which are also the same design as the 8x16" items fitted to RS200's). They were also fitted to Grp A Series 1 RS Turbo's back in the day and i've got a set fitted to my car as per pic ....

quality wheels
im sure if it was andy rouse who owned it at first he could have got what he wanted on it from ford including leather and they wheels.i was also told before that some ford garages did offer retrims etc on the cars may not have been from factory but was done at the showroom.

interesting history and awesome car
its not a real cossie unless its been resprayed and owned by a drug dealer at some point, thats what makes it a real cossie

Yes your right it was but it was a scam as he needed some were to store the car and they were mates of his that had that garage. If you remember there was a moonstone one there too that was his aswell. It had the price tag in the window as it pulled the punters in lol

his dog ripped apart one of his leather seats and his 50k merc last year and he didnt care was actualy very funny.
