Default how do i compress camcorder footage

i have a couple of vids from yesterdays brunters thrash but they are from my dvd camcorder and are to big to upload to phtobucket etc so how do i compress them so i can put them on there

You need some kind of converter mate.....give the footage so a PC geek and hey presto

i asked in pc world but they didnt really help,

BTTT - got the same problem with my Croft and Combe footage.

Any good free video editing software out there?

I load the video into Windows Movie Maker edit the bits out I don't want and when your done youcan select the quality. I tend to save a good copy and a internet copy. Once the net copy has been uploaded I remove it from my HDD

i use pinnacle
takes abit of time to edit out stuff and then write a dvd file .. but can get good quality for internet use

movie maker built into XP

thats how i do mine


i used to used pinnacle, but movia maker is much quick and easier

Ive just tried Windows Movie Maker and its so simple to use, made a little vid clip with intro and overlaid music, the programs basic but what do you want for free

Well handy the way it can save video clips in lower quality for use on t'internet etc

and i didnt even know it was there until now

encode the video to another format videohelp or doom9 can help
