Having an Helmet on whilst driving

Had a random conversation earlier.....And i was asked....

Is it Illegal to drive on the Road with a Helmet on?

Car, Soft top, 4x4, kitcar or what ever......

NO it is not illegal, otherwise bikers would be illegal wearing them.
I asked this question about balaclavas, and the plod admitted so long as it does not obstruct vision then it is ok, hearing does not matter as deaf people can drive, so hearing nothing is ok.
