i did used to use internet explorer when i got windows up and running a couple of days ago, it did the same problem then, now ive gone over to firefox to see if it helps and it doesnt

no error messages, its as if someones just stopped sending the info down the line, ie it might say 555k of 10mb and just stay there

ive googled the problem and noone else seems to have the answer on different forums when its been asked by other people

Have you tried turning off your firewall and then trying to download? maybe ring up your net provider if all else fails because from what it sounds like theres no reason why your downloads should stop

Theres nothing wrong with your net? could you stay signed into msn all day for example? have you done speed tests to see if your getting the correct speed?

msn is logged in...yesterday did a few issues where it logged in and out again, but that was every couple of hours, and a few mentioned how bad msn was so assumed it was that

and ive got the latest version of media player but not sure how that will affect downloads(im not downloading anything though wmplayer)

ps bittorrent works fine, never had a problem with that up to yet

It's embedded into the youtube page, that't what actually plays the video.

However, now I've looked, it's actually flash player LOL.

Have you got the latest of that?

network card driver might be playing silly buggers, especially if its using standard microsoft drivers rather than the ones from the manufacturer

Will have a wild guess and say while vid is loading you get a blue "Q" in the window ???
If thats the case go to quicktime player run it
at the top hover or click over edit till menu appears
on that scroll down to preferences which should then show an option for
"quick time preferences" click that then on the tab at the top click
"File types" look down to "miscellaneous file formats" and make sure
"SMIL 1" and "FLASH MEDIA" are UNticked and
"QUICKTIME HTML (QHTM) IS ticked

All that is as lomg as you got quicktime ver 7.1.3 or newer as the version just before could NOT be made to work, so even if all above dont work would be worth downloading the latest quicktime.

and then a flash player and macromedia player but recon you probs already got them or it will tell you you need em ONCE you sorted Quicktime out

And if that works think your self lucky cos took me months to get mine working
