no one will insure, what the fuck is going on?
I could insure my 400bhp saph easily 3-4 yrs ago, why has it suddenly become such a fucking pain in the arse!
Granted i dont have no claims due to classic car policy's, but never made a claim and no conviction, why is it such a fuck bag

Im sorry but its just funny as you were the only person to say it was overpriced Look at some of the others that are nearly as good as mine, they want the same kind of money. Mint condition, full history, low miles, demand good money FACT
Honestly tho, 12k
Bitter, my god Ryan, the car sold itself at National Day

Hi Ryan,
Just to let you know - I do still come on here, been here for about 4 years now. Overall a good forum with plenty of banter & a good bunch on here.
Unless i'm away on hols or have a particularly mad schedule I usually check the forum most days to see if anyone needs a hand.
After the recent update though, searching using "greenlight" or "insurance" (which used to give a decent list of either people in need or people we'd spoken with previously) seemed to draw a blank - which made it harder to home in on people in need without trawling all forums.
Anyway, back to your own requirement - whilst often very cheap, classic policies arent usually aimed at modified cars and dont earn NCB, which effectively means that when the classic Insurer reviews or changes their stance on either modded classics or the specific car you drive, you then find yourself looking for cover without NCB.
We did provide a rate that looked really competitive, bearing in mind there is only 1 years NCB and this is a proper everyday policy that includes like-for-like mods replacement, optional per event track cover, courtesy cars for repairs & guaranteed hire cars for total loss claims.
Unfortunately I was busy working on scheme development with our Insurance Software house when you called, but my colleague did refer your details to me to review what we had done for you.
Having assessed this, until you gain further NCB this will be the best we can do.
Kind regards
Tony

hi tony, yeah i did try the search function but to no avail.
At the moment HIC is the cheapest, and offered alot with there policy including a like for like scheme.
Like you've said being on classic policy's before hasnt allowed me no claims, and the ones i had were lost as i havent had becuase i havent used them in nearly 3 yrs, being insured on the mrs golf.
Is there no way to confrim with my previous insurers that i've never made a claim? as it seems silly that a peice of paper that says i havent had a claim and the fact i havent had a claim are so different
Cheers
