Default TV Broken

Was still in warranty (3 years)

Dell mistakenly sent a 30" 3007WFP HC monitor,

wich is the best thing around for the moment, more expensive then a telly anyway.

Called to say it's not a tv.

they now offer "keep the monitor" or we can send you a sony kdl 26p2530E lcd tv

Thinking of selling the 30" lcd and buying a new 32" LCD

What would you do ?

I'd keep the 30" monitor - what stuff did you used to watch on the TV? Sky? Freeview? DVD's? Video's?

Cos you can still watch all that on the Dell screen, just plug your Sky box/Freeview box, dvd etc into the screen - you should have VGA (blue PC monitor input) DVi (White pc monitor input) s-video, composite (yellow video RCA) and component (red, blue, and green video RCA's) on the bottom of your monitor. Plug your source gear in there, and take the audio outputs from the source gear to an amplifier and connect your speakers to that.....

Sorted!

Scratch the above - I just went and looked it up, and it seems, at least according to Dell's site, you on'y get a white DVI input on it with no other inputs!!!! Thats no good to ANYONE!

it's only good for HIGH end gamers and photo editiors i guess.

I got it out the box yesterday and tested it for 2 mins.

My ATI X850XT Platinum Edition can't run in in full pixels,
so it has to be sold.

It's huge for a monitor.
