Yet another impreza question..
..Im thinking of buying a bug eyed wrx or wrx sti impreza but its for use as a company car as well as personal.
Whats the differences in the models ?
I'm doing about 400 miles a week company use, which is half motorway and half urban driving then maybe a further 100 miles personal use.
Dont want to buy something bland like a mondeo or another vectra and the scoobys seem to sit at about 9k for the year im after.
Would it be a worthwhile buy ?

WRX STI are 6 speed for starters, come with about 40-50 more bhp, but you can have your own map, or the PPP Package which takes the car to 300bhp/300 ftlb
Better brakes on the STI aswell, interior you can get them for silly money too..

Just looking for a standard car or one with minor mods. Wont be doing much to one if I do buy it as its got to do fairly high miles and still be viable.
Staffi whats the insurance like on them ?

Insurance can be a nightmare depending on age, convictions etc..
I used TETT HAMILTON for my TYPE RA and My EVO they were very good, but i was 39 when i had the Scoob and 40 the Evo.
Try a company called Keith Michaels, they're very good..

Cheers Lynn, plenty of reading there
Not as bad as what gets branded around then, much the same as any modern perfomance saloon
Just got a quote and it works in at about a grand fully comp, not bad considering my age and its declared for business use. Still 3 x the price of insuring the vectra though
