It forced me to upgrade to Windows Live Messenger today. Said I couldn't sign in unless I upgraded.....

lol yeah me too on my works computer i have to ring I.T support to to get an admin to do it bloody bollox

i'm having to do with windows messenger instead

Get onto www.mess.be and download Mess Patch, you will then be able to remove all the crap and adverts that M$ put on it

Same happened to me..... bloody months of clicking on the reminder at the top of name box saying 'no don't want to upgrade and remind me in 1 weeks time' used to piss me off as well.

I hate this new Windows Live Messenger crap and want my MSN 7.5 back

i dont mind using the new one you plonkers just the fact i have to get permission from admin to install it when i really dont need to use it for my job

when someone adds you, theres a little box that you have to tick if you dont want to subscribe to there myspace profile thingy, obviously when most people add someone they just want you on there list and dont bother reading anything, hence the box remains unticked and you get requests, just click on it and then put a tick in all the box's (you will see what i mean) then hit "deny" and then ok and then the message will go away
