Default sticking a cvh sump gasket to the sump, what to use?

what do you reccomend to stick this on with? i have some silicone which is a high temperature one for up to 900 degrees.

just worried as i want it all to fit first time with no leaks.

Silicone is ok so long as it does not go near oil!!
Silicone is Crap.
LOCTITE 5910/5900, and it will never leak again, you can even leave OFF the gasket ans it will still stick perfectly.

had loads of probs with my rst no matter how many new sump gaskets i put on it still leaked one of the problems is that people tighten them up to tight and bend the lip so even after you put a new sump gasket on it will still leak, the only fix really is to put a brand new one on and never over tighten it

I reckon the problems most are having is due to using a Genuine Ford sump gasket.

horrible job, my first one leaked then I used some loctite stuff that was orange in colour and that worked. The gasket itself came from Halfrauds if that helps.

stuck it down with superglue, and it looks very very good to me, where the half moons are im going to put a little bit of high temperature silicone there to make sure they seal!
