Used to play alot of U.T online and 2004(eZeeThor JXB),but mostly xbox live now as the user interface is more friendly,anyone else on xbl aswell.

If you check teh 3d scores of the 800 and the 6800GT specifically with Doom 3 at 1600 x 1200 and 100mhz refresh you will see that the 6800 is in fact better
As for the server.... im deffo intrigued as to how this would work

stu all a server needs is a host (i think UT2K is win32 based so wont run on linux, dunno wot PF runs on)

Im waiting for the 6600GT for AGP-slot, hopefully nvidia will realse that too instead of just pci-express.

i got a 9800pro and it's more than man enough for ut... and plenty good enough for doom in reasonable settings.

Get Pet to get you a x800PRO that has been modded. This is what I have, with 16 pipelines opened and the same clock speeds as the XT PE With my 3800+ AMD A64 processsor.... it rocks!!!
Like with buying a house..... when buying a PC ALWAYS go to your limit on spending (and a bit more) if you are looking for a games machine.
Then go out and get yourself a copy of FARCRY...... unbelievable game mate.
