Default heat wrap or ceramic coating?

a mate is having trouble with under bonet temps on his KA rally car... he recently put a 1.6 zetec in, running R1 bike carbs on Omex management...

personally i would think that the ceramic would chip off on a rally car, plus Heat wrap is cheaper... what are peoples thoughts?

obviously ceramic would work better, but would it be cost effective?

is the water overheating or his inlet temps to high

needs better cold air ducting to the air inlet and probably a more efective rad, is he running the standard KA rad cos they are quite small

Anything in the engine bay i woul dhave ceramic coated and then anything near loose rocks etc i.e down pipe have this wrapped in high temp wrap....

The wrap does not last that long before it begins to fall apart, so can cost more in the long run

im unsure.. he just said his under bonnet temperatures... and mentioned about manifold coatings... it is a tubular manifold, so will get very warm... i think he might need to cut a few holes in the bumper and bonnet though... get some more air flow going

i suppose i need to talk to him a bit more... see what his problems could be... thanks for the help anyhows...
