Default why does my printer have lines when i print and how i get ri

how do i get rid of the lines when i print, its doing me head it, get lines going along the fooking thing, is there somthing worng with it ?????

Have u run the test print and alligned the head(s)?
Should be in the manual somewhere...

tend to if not used a lot. Just keep using the cleaning function - can take 10+ goes, before it clears up.

start, control panel, printers, view installed, right click on espon icon, properties, general tab, printer preferences, utility, head clean

or whip out the cartridges, get some loo roll, slap it over it and suck through it.. works all the time.

I phoned Epson up about this. As posted above, clean the printer heads. But what the manual doesn't say is that if the cleaning process doesn't work first time you have to turn the printer off and back on again before running the clean again. Otherwise the printer doesn't do the clean function properly, second time round.

I've also found that if I leave my Epson switched on all the time, I have fewer problems with print quality and the need for head cleaning is reduced.

cheers for advice - only use my epson when assignment time comes round & always having problems!!

Epson are cr4p, try gently rubbing the bit that disperses the ink with a soft rubber (one thats at the end of a pencil, not the other type ). If that doesnt work then take it back! Also is it a genuine cartridge?

Just a point... you have taken the tear off covers of the cartridge havent you

We had a secretary here had that problem and she forgot to remove them

yes there proper epson cart, there the brand new ones ya get in the box

im not gonna bother any longer with it till i have too as im too lazy

i did my head cleaning this morning .. got no bloody ink left now
