well, it is located on the right side when you are standing in front of the engine

under/around the inlet on the right side

its the little one its goes 3-5 contacts in it, its a size of the fuel rele. its black if i remember.

yeh but i have a D reg mk4 MFI RS Turbo with a ECU

this is a G reg mk4 MFI XR3i

so i have every reason to ask the question without people thinking im thick... i couldnt see one and thought then well maybe it dont but i wasnt gonna dismiss something just cause i couldnt see it as it might be somewhere else on the car.

its a simple question of something i dont know so i have asked. some have said yes it does some have said no. so im not the only person not to know.

this site is getting right on my tits these days when people ask for help or questions not everyone is born with the Haynes manual embedded in there brain

you have a 1.6i that have the ke-jet as the rst have

ive just broke a mk3 xr3i and i found a yellow box behind the heater maybe this is the ecu he's on about ?

nope as no xr3i mfi has a ecu, the mk3 just has more control boxes as it has a few more dash sensors etc but thats it lol

rs turbos have ecus due to be a sligtly different fuel system than the xr
